CCD camera ZWO ASI 174 Mini.

In a continuing effort to meet the demands of astrophotographers, the Chinese company ZWO (Zhen Wang Optical) now offers miniature autoguider cameras with its new range called "Mini".

The ASI174 Mini guiding camera is equipped with a 2.3 million pixel (1936 x 1216px) IMX174LLLJ/IMX174LQJ monochrome sensor with a pixel size of 5.86μ.

With the shape and size of almost a traditional eyepiece, this camera can also be used as a planetary camera.

Drivers, image acquisition software and user manual (in English) are available for download from the ZWO website.

The ASI174 Mini camera is compatible with Windows, Linux, Arm-linux, Mac OSX. An ASCOM driver is also available. However, it requires prior installation of the Software Development Kit (SDK) from ZWO, freely downloadable from their website.

For planetary video acquisition, the FireCapture software, offered free of charge by Torsten Edelmann, is fully compatible and recommended for use with the cameras ZWO.
