Probably the most sensitive ZW-Optical autoguider for astrophotography with a modern Sony sensor and a 1.25" housing.
♦ Sony SC2210 MONO CMOS sensor with a maximum QE of 92 % and a pixel size of 4.0 µm for maximum sensitivity: always find a guide star.
♦ High NIR sensitivity, which reduces the effective air turbulence
♦ Sensor size 7.68 x 4.32 mm
♦ Handy 1.25" housing: you can use the autoguider/camera as an eyepiece in the guide tube, viewfinder or off-axis guider.
♦ At only 60 grams a really light weight and no bigger than a 1.25" eyepiece
♦ Extensive scope of delivery: protective cap, instructions, 2 USB cables, ST4 autoguider cable, CS mount adapter and 1.25" extension case
♦ You can also use the camera as a high quality lunar and planetary camera .Thanks to the high sensitivity sensor, it is even possible to take pictures of deep sky objects.
♦ Incl. CS screw adapter for connecting lenses and T2 adapter
This camera contains a 1/1.8" (7.68 mm x 4.32 mm) SC2210 sensor. It is a monochrome guide camera with excellent near infrared sensitivity. This camera has a pixel size of 4.0 µm * 4.0 µm in a 1920x1080 matrix and a full well capacitance of 8780 e-. The protective window is
AR coated. The ASI220MM Mini can be seen as an improved version of the ASI290MM Mini, featuring a larger sensor format and larger pixels with better NIR sensitivity.
♦ Due to the high light sensitivity, you will always find a guiding star, even with off-axis guiding, guaranteed!
♦ The handy 1.25" housing makes it easy to adapt. Insert the camera into the 1.25" mount, focus and start.
♦ Only 8.5 mm working distance from the front edge to the chip, so you can focus even at short distances.
♦ Weighing only 60 grams, the focuser barely carries a load.
♦ ST4 cable and ST4 port are, of course, included .Connect the camera directly to the mount's autoguider port.
Autoguider software is not included .The camera is ASCOM compatible and suitable for, among other things, PHD Guiding, Guidedog, Metaguide, Guidemaster (freeware), APT or AstroArt, MaxIm DL (paid).
♦ High sensitivity sensor for good lunar and planetary photos.
♦ High frame rate in the
planetary range ♦ Camera fits in any 1.25" focuser. Hold the camera like an eyepiece, focus and start astrophotography.
♦ Due to the high sensitivity, the ASI220MM Mini is also suitable for photography of nebulae and galaxies
♦ The camera is equipped with a clear glass filter, which is also transparent in the infrared range, making exciting infrared photography possible
Spectral sensitivity
The sensor impresses not only with its high sensitivity, but also with its wide sensitivity range. The sensitivity remains high in the infrared depths. This means more stars to guide and the exciting range of infrared photography (Venus, Mars...) becomes possible.
That's how compact the ASI220MM Mini camera is:
Compared to other astronomical cameras, the ASI220MM Mini has smaller dimensions, less weight and reaches the focal point at the same point as an eyepiece.
what is included?
The ASI Mini camera package contains all necessary cables, drivers, adapters and also a manual (in English).
Mini cameras have a beautiful appearance, small dimensions, low weight - these are already attractive features. However, the cameras impress with other advantages:
High sensitivity: important for finding the guide star
Sensitivity is the first thing on your mind ZWO with these cameras .Finding a guide star is very important. Therefore, at first, ZWO only considered a black-and-white sensor for use in its tracking cameras, since a monochrome sensor has a much higher sensitivity than a color sensor. Then, the manufacturer carefully compared the sensitivities of the available sensors. In the end, ZWO decided to use SW sensors. The monochromatic sensor of the ASI220MM Mini has a maximum quantum efficiency of about 92 % and can therefore perceive more stars in the field of view. Thiscan also shorten the exposure time for guiding.
Focusing position as with eyepiece
ASI Mini and eyepiece can achieve focus at the same place. You can focus with an eyepiece and then plug the mini camera into the 1.25" barrel. It works
on OAG
Mini cameras ZWO are ideal for tracking with OAG, they have a much larger focus range than normal ASI cameras. You no longer have to worry. about the tracking camera not being able to focus at the same time as the recording camera.
