TS-Optics 20x80 ED APO Binoculars with two 80 mm triplet objectives
The 20x80 APO triplet binoculars set new standards in their class. The binoculars have been developed for nature lovers, birdwatchers and of course hobby astronomers. Especially for astronomical observation the TS2080T is our special recommendation. Any friend of stars and nature who values a particularly good picture will appreciate these binoculars. They provide a better corrected image than simpler binoculars with 2-element objectives. The triplet objectives offer the following advantages:
With 20x magnification, you can also bring distant objects close up. Nevertheless, the image remains bright due to the two large lenses. The binoculars are therefore also well suited for twilight observations. We recommend in any case a photo tripod in order to fully enjoy the sharpness and details of the image.
♦ Better field flattening: annoying cushion or barrel distortion is avoided.
♦ Less chromatic error:*] the blue color fringe of simple achromatic lenses is suppressed. The contrast increases, the finest details are perceived.
♦ Higher edge sharpness: the good sharpness is retained even at the edge of the image field.
Two binoculars in one by swing-in nebula filters:
Turn the small wheels at the eyepieces and swivel the two nebula filters out of the field of view. Now you have full-fledged binoculars for nature, landscape or bird watching.
At night you can swivel in one or both UHC nebula filters by simply turning the appropriate wheel. The contrast of many gas nebulae and planetary nebulae rises sharply. The nebula filter often decides whether you can recognize the object at all. It is an exciting experience how the fog suddenly becomes visible when you swivel in the filters and how dark the sky background, which is otherwise brightened by scattered light, suddenly becomes.
Extremely pleasant viewing due to long interpupillary distance:
With an interpupillary distance of 17 mm, the 20x80 triplet binoculars have a very pleasant viewing behavior. The large field of view can be easily overlooked. Also observations with eyeglasses are no problem, the "soft rubber eyecup" can be turned over. So the eyeglasses lie on the rubber and you have a pleasant view and can overlook the whole field well even with eyeglasses.
The tripod adapter is integrated:
In order to be able to observe fine details optimally, the use of a photo tripod is necessary. The TS 20x80 Triplet binoculars offer a built-in tripod adapter. The adapter can also be pushed back and forth, so you always have the glass in an optimal balance.
