Product Details

CELESTRON's heavy duty equatorial mount is designed to support CELESTRON's Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes in single-arm fork format (Nexstar SE and NexStar Evolution series) up to 9.25" diameter.

CELESTRON' s heavy-duty equatorial mount is a stable and robust platform perfect for astrophotography and ensures that vibrations will be kept to a minimum. Its wide latitude range from 0 to 90° makes this wedge-shaped equatorial mount functional even at the equator.

Features include the following elements: altitude and azimuth control adjustment by means of oversized knobs to facilitate alignment with the pole star, a telescope control knob holder to decide whether to store the knob on the equatorial mount or on the telescope fork, a clamping plate to facilitate mounting the telescope on the wedge by simply rotating it, and a long 14mm thick screw for easy latitude adjustment (equivalent to the polar axis) which gives strength and stability to the assembly, while minimizing vibrations and thus favoring the rotational movement of a heavy telescope, such as the NEXSTAR EVOLUTION 9.25".
