Equatorial harmonic mount Pegasus Astro NYX-101
Nyx, the ancient Greek goddess of the night, enlightened us to design and produce a high-performance, high-payload mount that can easily carry imaging equipment up to 20 kg without the need for a counterweight or axle.
The tension wave drive on RA and DEC motions ensures backlash-free operation with high torque at high payloads. A fully CNC machined 6061 aluminum alloy body, black and blue anodized, and a selection of brand-name parts (stepper motors, tension wave gearing) inside the mount ensure that the Nyx-101 will run smoothly for many years. The mount includes an electronic brake on the RA axis to prevent backlash when the power is off, as well as safety stops during turning or tracking.

6 power supply outlets
The device is equipped with 4 12 V outlets, providing ample power for your equipment needs. In addition, you have the flexibility to reuse the 2 sockets of the spray heater, converting them into 12 V continuous power supplies. The device employs robust MOSFET transistors to supply reliable electrical current to your valuable equipment. It is important to note that the quad port can be switched on or off collectively, while the heater ports offer individual control.
Built-in sensors
The device comes equipped with built-in sensors that take its functionality to a new level. These sensors include temperature and humidity monitoring, ensuring that astrophotographers can keep a close eye on environmental conditions during their observing sessions. By providing real-time data on temperature and humidity levels, this feature helps users make informed decisions about dew control and equipment protection. In addition, the display of input voltage and power box current ensures that voltage variations or power consumption are easily monitored.
2 x spray heaters
Enjoy precise control of your spray heaters with the device's dual spray heater outputs. These outputs offer precise control of heater intensity, allowing you to tailor the performance of your equipment to your exact needs. In addition, the device features an intelligent auto-spray function that can automatically adjust the heater intensity by controlling the integrated temperature and humidity sensor, ensuring optimal conditions for your installation. A pair of DC 2.1 -> RCA cable adapters is included in the package. Each output can supply up to 5A.
Control your electric current
An ammeter downstream of the DC input reports the total current and voltage levels. This allows you to easily monitor the detailed and overall power consumption of your equipment.
More than 10 A total electrical current
The device has been designed with the full current requirements of astrophotography equipment in mind. It can supply up to 10 amps of electrical current and offers multiple output channels, each with a specified current rating, allowing users to safely power a variety of devices simultaneously. Whether it is your telescope mount, cameras, filter wheels or other accessories, this power box ensures that the total current drawn does not exceed its maximum capacity, thus preventing overloading and potential damage to your valuable equipment.
The power box is designed to supply up to 10 amps of electrical current. Note that a typical backyard astrophotographic setup requires between 5 and 7 amps.
Integrated USB3.1 hub: 2 USB3 ports and 2 USB2 ports
High power USB outputs
The USB port provides up to 3 Amps of current. You can connect any device that requires 5V. For example, a Raspberry PI 3/4 or an Intel Compute Stick M3/M5 can receive power from this specific port.
A USB3 MTT (Multi Transaction Translator) hub powered on the back of the device provides:

The new SuperSpeed hubs work in parallel with the USB 2.0 controller, so SuperSpeed data transfers at 5 Gbps are not affected by slower USB 2.0 traffic.

Optional Pucks for 3rd party mounts
The Saddle Powerbox can be seamlessly affixed to the NYX-101 mount without the need for additional components. For compatibility with other mount types, the use of an additional puck is necessary. At present, our product supports a range of mounts, which includes:

High-precision strain gage gear units
Harmonic gears on both shafts ensure high payload and smooth, backlash-free operation.
A hybrid combination of stepper motor and belt system, together with sophisticated electronics, can drive the RA axis with a resolution of up to 0.10 arc seconds.
The reduction on the RA axis is 500:1 and 300:1 on the DEC axis.

Integrated wireless and USB control

Disengagement brake
A safety cut-off brake is installed on the RA shaft to provide a safe instantaneous stop
during a planned or unplanned power interruption.
ADDITIONAL GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS:
12 volt DC battery operation
The NYX-101 only needs 12V to operate smoothly. This means you can use your normal 12V battery without the need for additional converters. The mount consumes less than 0.6Amp during tracking and up to 2.5 Amps during slewing.
Secure power supply and USB
The power cable is of type GX12 and can be securely locked in the holder. The special USB type B socket ensures a secure grip. Both sockets are located on the non-moving part of the holder. The cables do not move during turning and tracking. A second GX12 socket allows you to supply power to your imaging equipment.
Refractive corrections
The NYX-101 integrates a barometric sensor needed to calculate atmospheric refraction corrections during mount tracking. For smaller focal lengths it may be overkill, but if you have an SCT you will notice a welcome change in your guiding performance.
Universal dovetail female bracket
The NYX-101 includes a rigid, low-profile universal saddle that accepts dovetails Vixen y Losmandy 3-ich.
Integrated ST-4 autoguiding port
An ST-4 port is provided on the rear of the mount. The port is compatible with a simple hand controller or an ST-4 guidance camera.
Polemaster Adapter
At the front of the mount, there is a place for the QHY Polemaster (adapter included), which allows you to perform the precise polar alignment necessary for your shooting sessions.
Electronic assistant for initial polar alignment
A set of sensors allows you to orient the mount to the correct altitude and azimuth for an initial, approximate polar alignment (for low focal lengths such as camera lenses or visual observations). Our mobile app will guide you through the process.
Reverse polarity protection
The NYX-101 has been designed with reverse polarity protection. A lifesaver if you accidentally reverse the voltage or polarity of the battery during the night.
Optional counterweight support
The mount does not require counterweights for payloads up to 20Kg. However, if you wish to install counterweights for higher payloads, there is a compatible M12 threaded shaft hole in the end of the DEC shaft.
ASCOM, INDI, Sky Safari support
The mount is fully compatible with ASCOM 6 and INDI. It is also Sky-Safari compatible, allowing you to control the mount via your mobile device.
Compatibility with LX200
The LX200 protocol is fully compatible with the NYX-101. Sky-Safari works directly with the mount.
Mobile control
A mobile app for IOS and Android platforms allows you to control both axes of the mount, rotate to installed catalogs of thousands of night sky targets, and perform rough polar alignment using an electronic polar assistant.
Safety limits on the RA axis
Safety limit encoders on the RA axis prevent the internal cable from snagging or colliding with the tripod.
Firmware update
A simple firmware update process allows you to keep up to date with bug fixes and the latest mount features.
