Following the success of the equatorial center-balanced mount iOptron CEM60, CEM70 series mounts are the new standard mounts for equatorial mounts in the 70-pound payload segment. The mounts are packed with advanced features, however, the CEM70G is the first of its kind with an on-board optical guidance system that increases tracking accuracy while simplifying components, resulting in a more portable imaging configuration.
Maintaining the inherent properties of the center-balanced design, these relatively compact, medium payload mounts deliver what astronomers expect from an efficient and accurate portable mount. With precise GOTO pointing and accurate tracking, the CEM70EC offers solid performance for both observers and imagers.
Innovative operational features, such as the iPolar internal electronic polar viewfinder, easy operation of the locking gears (levers large enough to use with gloves), an advanced cable management system for the mount, iPolar, guiding and camera, and a host of others, assure users that the CEM70 has been designed with their needs in mind.
