The key to this optimized version is the "CEM design",Center-Balanced Equatorial Mount. This design, developed by iOptron, directs the weight of the mount and payload directly to the center of the tripod to create a natural center of gravity.
Based on the experience of creating previous CEM models, additional features have been added to the new CEM26 to ensure maximum comfort during use.
An integrated wifi system is now included, as well as a permanentperiodic error correction (PEC).
In terms of functionality, the CEM26 offers precise approach and very accurate tracking of selected objects.
The center-balanced mount design places the weight of the payload in the central area, allowing for greater natural stability. This is a great advantage for astronomical photography.
Another feature of the CEM26 is a counterweight bar whose length can be adjusted to prevent it from hitting the tripod legs when used very close to the horizon.
The CEM26 is also equipped with the latest Go2Nova® technology, making it one of the most powerful and accurate GoTo mounts available on the market today.
The GoTo software database contains more than 212,000 objects. Operation of the Go2Nova® control unit is intuitive and the large four-line LCD display makes it easy to locate objects, even in complete darkness.
The CEM26 comes with the proven LiteRoc stainless steel tripod and a robust aluminum carrying case.
