SkyWatcher 0.77x Reducer and Flatteners for ESPRIT 150ED Telescopes
Owners of Esprit 150ED telescopes can now obtain images with a reduced focal length. Although the nominal focal length of f/7 is already quite fast, it is always nice to be able to reduce exposure times or increase the signal-to-noise ratio (the focal ratio then becomes f/5.4). Thanks to a construction around a beautifully crafted optical triplet (multi-coated treatment), this 0.77x reducer flattens the field in a 34 mm image circle (compatible with APS-C format digital cameras). Stars are then spot-on at the edge of the field (as with the corrector included with the 150ED Spirit it replaces). The 0.77x Sky-Watcher reducer screws onto the M74x1 male thread. At the output it has a M48 male thread and thanks to its 55mm backfocus with an M48 wide field T-ring attached to your DSLR you will directly obtain the optimal distance between the flattener and the sensor.
Rings available for cameras: Sony (# SW0187), Nikon (# SW0188) or Canon (# SW0189).
CAUTION: Not suitable for Sky-Watcher EVOSTAR, BLACK DIAMOND 120ED telescopes.
