The Astro Physics reducer has been originally designed to work with telescopes with f/9 focal ratio and even slower focal ratios (f/10, f/11, etc) typical of Schmidt-Cassegrian telescopes. Tests by different users have verified that this reducer can even work very well with Ritchey-Chrétien telescopes such as the RC telescopes of GSO. The stars are shown to be totally punctual in a field with a diameter of 29mm.
Technical Details:
* Barrel: 2"
* Free aperture: 44mm
* Thread on camera side: M48x0.75 (thread for 2" filters)
* Optimal backfocus: 85 mm - if the distance is changed the reducer will change its reduction factor. You can change the distance between the M48 thread and the CCD sensor from about 70mm to 90mm with good results.
* Focal reduction: 0.67x
* 29mm diameter fully corrected.
