This reducer shortens the focal length by a factor of 0.8x, but also corrects coma at the edge of the image field. Therefore, when using the two smaller Mewlon instruments for deep sky photography, this corrector is highly recommended.
The focal length is reduced to 1763 mm (f/9.8) with the Mewlon-180, with the Mewlon-210 it is 1961 mm (f/9.3). The connection is very simple, on the telescope side it is simply connected via 2 inch, on the camera side a Wide T-Mount bayonet ring is directly screwed on. With the M54pM48p adapter, a CCD camera can also be connected via suitable spacer rings.
The corrector also has a 2-inch filter thread in the plug-in sleeve, ideal, for example, for an IDAS or L-Pro filter.
ATTENTION: This corrector is not suitable for the Mewlon-250CRS and Mewlon-300CRS, as these two devices already have correction optics in the tube. However, for the older Mewlon-250 and Mewlon-300 (which are no longer manufactured) this corrector can be used without restrictions.
The following focal lengths are obtained:
Mewlon-180 1763mm (f/9.8)
Mewlon-210 1961mm (f/9.3)
Mewlon-250 2308mm (f/9.2)
Mewlon-300 2739mm (f/9.1)
