0.9x SKYWATCHER Reducer/Flattener for EVOLUX 62ED

Two-element design incorporating an ED element. Reduces the standard focal length of the Evolux-62ED by a factor of 0.9x and provides the highest quality edge-of-field correction.

The flattener/reducer illuminates a full-frame format and provides accurate stellar images in a 30mm image circle.

Provides a focal length of 360mm and f/5.8. Field of view 5.09°.

Rear focus 55mm. Multi-coated. Supplied with adapter/field rotor. Filter thread inside the adapter to mount 2" filters. Thread M56x1 female / M48 male.

Can be used in conjunction with Canon or Nikon M48 T-ring adapters.

This accessory is necessary because refractors provide a curved focal plane, as stars are not point-like near the edges in the image. It provides an image corrected to the edge of the field. A dedicated adapter will allow you to attach the reducer/corrector to your telescope's eyepiece holder, it is rotatable to optimize your framing and accepts 50.8mm filters. Optimized for the Sky-Watcher Evolux 62ED f/6.45 (Doublet), this screw-in reducer/corrector reduces the scope's focal length by a factor of 0.9x (f/5.8 induced focal ratio - apparent field 5.09°).

The use of a focal reducer in astrophotography also reduces exposure time. It will be necessary to use a dedicated M48 wide field T-ring for your camera, available for Sony (#SKWSW0187), Nikon (#SKWSW0188) or Canon (#SKWSW0189).
