Filter Optolong IR Pass 685 nm 1.25" IR-Pass Filter

The IR-Pass filter of Optolong blocks wavelengths below 685 nanometers. At wavelengths above this value (in the infrared band), planetary images are less disturbed by atmospheric turbulence resulting in better seeing. By combining a luminance image obtained with this filter and RGB, the increase in detail is significantly enhanced. With this technique, images of Venus and Mars become spectacular.

The ultra-thin filter cell minimizes vignetting by allowing a 26 mm diaphanous aperture for 1.25 " (31.75 mm), having been manufactured in aluminum by CNC machines with extreme manufacturing precision.
