EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC 2" O-III filter.

One of the most important obstacles to night sky exploration is the brightness of the night sky from artificial lights, such as streetlights. The night sky is not very dark in the vicinity of towns or cities, which reduces the visibility of objects beyond the planets of the solar system. Depending on the type of celestial object it is possible to increase the contrast dramatically by blocking disturbing artificial light. The Explore Scietific UHC filter uses a characteristic property of artificial lighting. Streetlights and lamps glow in special colors - the typical colors of high-pressure or mercury lamps. The Explore Scientific CLS filter blocks these colors and thus increases the contrast and the light of celestial objects can pass through the filter. The result is amazing: suddenly objects are visible in locations that were previously completely empty without filters. In suburban skies, for example, the large galaxy M101, the Veil Nebula Ngc 6992 or even the bright Dumbell Nebula M27 are not clearly visible. By using this filter you can see the nebulae and their structures. A must for every observer.
