FILTER ZWO IR PASS 850 NM OF 1.25"
FILTER ZWO IR PASS 850 NM 1.25". This filter is particularly suitable for planetary photography, where it eliminates the shortest wavelengths, obtaining a stabilizing effect on the image, greatly reducing the defects introduced by atmospheric turbulence. Thus, images of Venus and Mars become spectacular

ZWO IR PASS FILTER 850 NM 1.25".
IR pass filter ZWO 1.25" and 850 nm, specially designed for infrared photography. The IR pass filter is suitable for cameras sensitive to infrared light. Cameras with built-in IR blocking filter cannot be used with this filter. Examples of IR sensitive cameras are ASI224MC or ASI185MC. But DSLR cameras with IR protection filter removed and CCD cameras are suitable for infrared photography.
The IR-cut filter blocks all visible light. Typically, the range goes up to about 700 nm, which is deep red light. The transmission curve of the filter ZWO increases abruptly shortly before 800 nm and reaches maximum transmission at 860 nm.
This extreme filter allows interesting applications such as long distance photography during the daytime, since due to the reduction of diffraction, the fog becomes more transparent, like the skin in the hand image.
This filter is particularly suitable for planetary photography, where it eliminates the shorter wavelengths, obtaining a stabilizing effect on the image, greatly reducing the defects introduced by atmospheric turbulence. Thus, images of Venus and Mars become spectacular.
