The Astronomik broadband clip-on filter for Canon EOS APS-C cameras is used for deep sky photography in polluted areas with moderate light and can be inserted into the camera body in a matter of seconds.

Astronomik Clip Filters are made of black anodized aluminum and laser cut with state-of-the-art machines. They can be inserted in a matter of seconds directly into the EOS camera body. No changes are necessary and all lens functions (focus, display, image stabilization) remain operational!

This filter solves several problems:

        • If you place a filter holder between the camera body and the lens, you will lose the ability to focus to infinity.
        • For very fast telescopes like the Vixen R200SS a filter wheel cannot be used as the distance to the corrector lenses would be changed.
        • With long exposure times, the sensor chip of your camera is exposed to more dust.
