Astronomik MC-Klarglas 2" filter.
This multi-coated glass filter serves as a dust protector and to maintain your parafocal system with other Astronomik filters.
The multi-coating prevents you from picking up unwanted reflections. In addition, it does not block IR or UV.
The main application of this main filter is dust protection of your system (telescope or camera) in an ideal way as the filter does not change the spectral transmittance of your system and does not alter the colors in any way.
The Astronomik MC Clear filter is manufactured with the same high-end precision optics process that all Astronomik filters incorporate. The coating has the same scratch resistance and the crystalline substrate is of the same high quality. Thanks to this unique development and designs this filter is parafocal (maintains the same focal plane) with all other Astronomik filters and can be used in any optical system for dust protection without changing the spectral characteristics and without destroying the optical performance of the system.
The filter can be used as dust protection in Schmidt-Cassegrain, Schmidt-Newton or Maksutov systems or in front of a digital SLR camera or CCD sensor.
It can also be used as an alternative instead of a UV-IR radiation filter if your system does not have refracting elements.
THIS MODEL IS 2" BUT IS ALSO AVAILABLE IN 1.25".
