This new generation of CMOS filters from Baader is characterized by
- CMOS-optimized Baader filters
- Increased contrast
- Increasingly narrower pass bands
- Reflex-Blocker™ coatings, for even greater freedom from halos, even under the most adverse conditions relative to auxiliary optics
- FWHM in each filter category carefully designed to allow 1:1:1 exposures, matched to typical CMOS quantum efficiency and s/w ratio
- Filter thickness identical to existing standards, with the utmost care for parfocality
- Blackened edges all around, with a filter side indicator in the form of a black outer edge on the front, to additionally eliminate any reflections due to light falling on the edge of a filter
- Each filter individually coated, with the coating edge sealed (NOT cut out of a larger plate with coatings left exposed, read more)
- Life-Coat™: increasingly harder coatings to allow for a coating that will not age for life, even in the harshest environment

- 3.5 / 4 nm FWHM (to harmonize H-alpha exposure time with O-III / S-II), recommended for fast optical systems from f/3.4 to f/2.3
- Specially designed for the special requirements of filters when used with fast f/3 optics
- For maximum contrast even with the highest light pollution, minimizes the size of stars, emphasizes the finest details of nebulae - indispensable under Bortle 9/8/7/(6) skies
- Reflex-Blocker™ hard-coated and planoptically polished - with sealed coating edges (Life-Coat™)
