EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC Filter Narrow Band 2" O-III Nebula Filter 6.5nm
The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC O-III filter allows accurate observation of deep sky objects in low light; narrow band version with 6.5nm for increased contrast even in difficult urban conditions.
- High-quality EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC O-III filter
- Only oxygen emission lines pass through
- Absorbs all other emission lines and almost all artificial light
- Bandpass width: 6.5 nm
- Narrow band version for difficult urban conditions
- Allows higher contrast for faint deep sky objects
- Individual test certificate included to ensure that you receive a premium filter
One of the most significant obstacles to night sky exploration is the illumination of the night sky by artificial lights, such as street lights. The night sky is not really dark near towns or cities, which reduces the visibility of objects beyond the system sun greatly. Depending on the type of celestial object, it is possible to increase the contrast dramatically by blocking interfering artificial light.
- Allows observation of so-called emission nebulae
- Blocks almost all artificial light
- Only the two emission lines of the oxygen pass through the filter
- Bandpass bandwidth: 6.5 nm
- narrow band version for difficult urban conditions
- allows more contrast for faint deep sky objects
- ideal for use near cities in brightly lit skies
- Individual test certificate included to ensure you receive a premium quality filter
