Deep space photographic filters for broadband use, useful for creating RGB composite images with monochrome cameras

Para-focus filters, no need to refocus when changing filters

♦ Equal weight on RGB filters makes it easier to achieve color balance

♦ A gap between the green and red filter blocks sodium light, which reduces light pollution and improves color balance and separation.

♦ Includes luminance exposure filters for image enhancement.

♦ Multi-layer anti-reflective coating ensures no halos, ghosting or reflections .Filters are scratch resistant and unaffected by temperature changes.

These deep space photographic filters for broadband use are useful for creating RGB composite images with monochrome cameras.

RGB filters are used for the three color separations in red, green and blue; To increase the contrast of details, a luminance image is also created.

In this case, the L filter is used to maintain the focusing distance and, in addition, to block UV and IR light, which would cause the image to be blurred when using refractive optics, but, depending on the sensor, could also cause color shifts in objects. which also emit light in the two spectral ranges.

Common characteristics

Equal weight in RGB filters: RGB color matching weights are 1:1:1: less work to achieve color-balanced images.

Parfocal LRGB filters: Broadband filters are parafocal, ensuring you won't have to refocus when quickly changing filters to capture images.

Anti-reflective coatings: The multi-layer anti-reflective coating ensures no halos, ghosting or reflections. Filters are scratch resistant and unaffected by temperature changes.

Limited sodium light pollution: A gap between the green and red filters blocks the primary line of sodium light pollution at 589 nm and improves color balance and separation.

Bandpass filters

Luminance filter (UV/IR cut-off): The Luminance UV/IR cut-off filter is designed to block the ultraviolet and infrared wavelength to improve luminance image sharpness and reduce halos in refractive optical systems.

It can be used in CMOS and CCD cameras that do not have an IR protection filter towards an image sensor or have been refurbished (DSLR, Mirrorless).

This type is necessary for CCD and CMOS sensors without filters, as they are extremely susceptible to UV and IR rays that are outside the visible spectrum and can severely degrade image quality.

The transmission range is 410 to 680 nm with Tave>95%.

In general, the filter can be used to maintain focus distance when taking luminance images.

Red filter:A high contrast red filter suitable for CMOS and CCD sensors .The filter blocks infrared. The transmission range is 600 to 680 nm with Tave>95%. Note the gap between this range and the green filter range, which reduces light pollution from sodium lines at 598 nm.

Green filter: a high contrast green filter suitable for CMOS and CCD sensors .The filter blocks infrared. The transmission range is 500 to 550 nm with Tave>95%. Note the gap between this range and the red filter range, which reduces light pollution from sodium lines at 598 nm.

Blue filter: a high contrast blue filter suitable for CMOS and CCD sensors .The filter blocks infrared. The transmission range is 410 to 500 nm with Tave>95%.
