Orthoscopic Eyepiece Baader Planetarium Classic 6 mm 2954106
Baader Planetarium brings back the original ABBE Orthoscopic design in these fantastic high definition eyepieces. The image is of supreme perfection on the optical axis, while their design allows them to offer a fully corrected field (40°). All this makes the Orthoscopic eyepieces from Baader Planetarium an excellent choice for high resolution observation. The entire series incorporates The Hyperion Phantom Group TM optical coating. This is a treatment designed and trademarked by Baader Planetarium that is not found in any competitive eyepiece and gives the eyepieces greater stellar punctuality and a more contrasted sky background. Indeed, the very high brightness of these eyepieces is due to the low reflective index of the lenses in contact with air, which is reduced to less than 0.2%. All this makes the Orthoscopic eyepieces of Baader Planetarium an indispensable tool for observations where the detection of the finest details is of vital importance.
The classic orthoscopic design eyepieces from Baader Planetarium in inch and quarter are the best value for money option to enhance your telescope observations. Fully coated optics with rubber canopy included.
The orthoscopic eyepieces offer images with a very good correction, since their design is developed to offer precisely the images with the corrected field, as flat as possible, and achromatic. The design is the work of Ernest Abbe, a well-known German physicist and optician of the late 19th century.
The eyepiece consists of four lenses mounted in two groups, one group of three and one group of one lens only. In addition, this improved design from the workshops of Carl Zeiss Jena offers slightly more apparent field than a classic orthoscopic eyepiece. By definition, classic orthoscopic eyepieces offer an apparent field of 45° and the orthoscopic eyepiece models from Baader Planetarium offer a slightly larger field of 52°.
The 6 mm eyepiece weighs 37 grams and has a 5 mm exit pupil and 5 mm diaphragm.
