The new 6.5 mm LER eyepiece of the 82° series expands the production line of argon-filled, watertight eyepieces Explore Scientific of argon-filled, waterproofeyepieces with an eyepiece with a particularly large interpupillary distance of 16.8 mm. Spectacle wearers in particular often have the problem of not having a full field of view, especially in the case of eyepieces with short focal lengths. This problem is now a thing of the past. Foldable silicone eyecups provide maximum comfort for the user, with or without glasses.
These are excellent multi-element, flat-field eyepieces that will change your astronomical viewing experience. The patented EMD treatment provides high contrast and avoids annoying reflections. Another great advantage of these eyepieces is their outstanding sharpness, which is especially noticeable when observing the planets and the Moon. The high-performance eyepieces with short focal lengths (high magnifications) from 3 mm to 10 mm are not only used for observations of the Moon, planets and binary stars, but can also be used for compact and bright Deep Sky objects. Not only will the size of a planetary nebula or globular cluster be impressive when they fill the full field of view of an eyepiece, but also the background sky will be very dark, as the effective contrast increases considerably as magnification increases. However, for a sharp image to be generated at high magnification, good to excellent atmospheric conditions are necessary. The 6.5 mm eyepiece of the 82° LER series is a popular choice for many telescopes, allowing the highest possible magnification to be achieved directly without an additional teleconverter or Barlow lens .
With an upward corrected apparent field of view of 82 degrees, these eyepieces offer outstanding quality .Argon filling effectively prevents fogging on the inside, and they are protected against dust, fungus and penetration of cleaning fluids .The eyepieces are sealed watertight. This ensures that you can enjoy many years of countless observations with these high-quality eyepieces. The eyepiece series Explore Scientific 82° LER represents maximum comfort and quality, combined with an excellent price-performance ratio.
