his 40mm eyepiece offers the longest focal length of the 52 LER eyepiece series and offers you great comfort in your observations thanks to its fabulous 27.1mm interpupillary distance. The 40mm eyepiece is also the only 2.0-inch eyepiece in this series. EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC now has three 40mm eyepieces in its collection, the other two being the 40mm from the 62° series and the 40mm from the 68° series. This focal length is ideal for all those Deep Sky observers who wish to observe dim objects and details with minimal magnification. The true field of view is perfect for DeepSky objects such as the Andromeda galaxy, the Rosette nebula as well as large star clusters and comets.
