The new 52° LER Series 3mm eyepiece expands the product line of carbon-filled and resistive eyepieces Explore Scientific ofcarbon-filled, waterproof eyepieces with a very short focal length . As a practical companion for compact, short focal length telescopes such as the ED APO 80mm f/6. For example, the ED APO 80mm f/6, this eyepiece already produces a magnification of 160x, which, with good seeing, allows a very high resolution of the surface details of planets and the moon and is also well suited for separating double stars. Telescopes with longer focal lengths, such as the ED APO 152 at f/8, achieve 405x magnification without the use of a focal extender or Barlow lens for those nights with near perfect seeing with acomfortable 15mm interpupillary distance.
Foldable silicone eyecups ensure optimum wearer comfort. As a spectacle wearer, one often has the problem, especially with shorter focal length eyepieces, of getting a full view of the visual field with spectacles. This problem is now a thing of the past.
