Eyepieces Pentax SMC XW-Revival
Pentax relaunched two popular eyepiece models: XW-30 and XW-40.
The high-performance XW-series optics incorporate ultra-low dispersion, high-refractive glass elements to produce a well-balanced image with minimal aberrations. It is specially designed to reduce the annoying blackout effect by effectively compensating for spherical aberration of the pupil.
Main features:
- Long focal length makes it suitable for observing nebulae and star clusters.
- Clear and comfortable viewing ensured by 70° apparent viewing angle and 20 mm eye relief
- High-grade optics for exceptional image quality with built-in ultra-low dispersion lanthanum glass elements of high refractive index
- Original multi-layer coating for excellent light transmission efficiency
- Advanced light-shielding technology to enhance image contrast
- Weather-resistant construction* for all-weather viewing (*XW series features JIS Class 4 weather-resistant structure, cannot be used underwater)
These new eyepieces are compatible with existing telescopes with a 50.8 mm sheath size; however, please note that the eyepieces are not compatible with Pentax spotting scopes (standard 31.7 mm sheath size).
