Reducer Kepler GSO from 2" to 1.25" with Teflon tightener
This reducer Kepler allows to convert 2" (50.8 mm) pitch to 1.25" (31.75 mm) pitch. Its great advantage is the presence of a rotation lock instead of a knurled screw lock. The rotation lock maintains perfect centering of the attachment (in the internal 1.25" eyepiece holder of the reducer). Tightening is accomplished by compressing an incomplete circle inside the reducer, thus ensuring uniform clamping on the accessory sleeve, instead of the traditional knurled screw lock, which leaves marks on the accessory barrels and, by not exerting uniform pressure on the accessory, often has some deviation from the optical axis of the instrument.
With the Kepler GSO 2" to 1.25" reducer with Teflon tightening, you will ensure that your optical train is always perfectly aligned, without any tendency to skew that could ruin your observations, even when inserting large and heavy Barlow lenses or other accessories.
This reducer has an M48 thread for filters mounted in the 2" socket. The addition of the reducer results in an additional 9mm optical train elongation.
