The Baader ClickLock eyepiece holder is a high-precision mechanical system designed to guarantee the maximum performance of the equipment and accessories used at all times. Included in the Baader T2 System #8, it guarantees perfect optical and mechanical alignment of the eyepiece at all times, which is essential if you want to get the best performance from your telescope. The clamping system dispenses with the classic side screw or circular clamp, both of which have a tendency to off-center the optical and mechanical axis. Instead, the Baader ClickLock clamps the eyepiece by means of three rollers positioned longitudinally at 120° to each other, which press onto the eyepiece sleeve at the same time with just a gentle turn of the upper ring gear. The upper part of the eyepiece holder is actually an adjustment system that allows the height of the eyepiece to be shifted by 6.5 mm, which makes it possible to adjust it for the specific use of different accessories.
