Sharpstar Hyperboloid Astrograph with 150 mm aperture and f/2.8
These astrographs are perfectly suited to the modern demands of digital astrophotography. Unlike simple Newtonian telescopes with coma corrector, Sharpstar Hypergraphs have a hyperbolic primary mirror and a specially designed corrector in the focuser. This results in a perfectly corrected image circle of 45 mm diameter, with space-optimized design and a moderate secondary mirror of 70 mm diameter. At the same time, the image quality is so high that even modern astronomical cameras with very high resolution can be used.
The advantages and features of Sharpstar Hypergraphs at a glance:
♦ Optics optimized for astrophotography, with high resolution over the entire usable image field.
♦ Carbon tube for significantly better focusing stability than with a metal tube. Refocusing can be omitted after temperature changes. Images become sharper.
♦ Secondary mirror is installed with the necessary compensation, field illumination is more uniform.
♦ Despite the extreme focal ratio, the telescope collimates well and maintains collimation well even during transport.
♦ Microfocus is already built-in, this is necessary with the extreme focal ratio of f / 2.8
♦ High-quality CNC tube rings and a GP / Q5 dovetail bar
♦ Carrying handle with support area for a finder shoe
♦ Easy adaptation of the camera via the M48x0.75 connection thread of the focuser. Working distance is 55 mm.
Easy camera connection through the focuser thread
When dealing with such a fast and high resolution optics, a threaded camera connection is necessary. This avoids tilted and therefore unsharp stars at the edge.
The 2.5" R&P focuser has, in addition to the female thread M63x0.75, a male thread M48x0.75. The working distance from this thread is a perfect 55 mm. This coincides, for example, exactly with the distance that an SLR camera and the corresponding T -Need for adapter Even astronomical cameras, such as those from ZWO, are already supplied with an adapter kit to M48 that takes exactly this distance into account.
