EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC ED APO 102MM F/7 FCD-100 CF HEX Telescope

Apochromats are the measure of all things in the small and medium aperture range: combining the aspects of ease of transport, very high image contrast and sharpness, with the excellent characteristics these devices offer for astrophotography, they are second to none. Advances in glass production in recent years have made it possible to manufacture high-quality apochromats for wider consumer groups. With the new EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC FCD-100 CF Hex, this evolution has reached a new high point: the color purity of this device sets new standards in this price class. The design of the optics achieves a Strehl ratio of 0.97, a value that represents maximum correction.

This excellent apochromatic is a very versatile device: the fast aperture ratio of f/7 allows short exposure time in astrophotography, while its high sharpness and outstanding contrast make it possible to make general observations of the North America nebula or the Andromeda galaxy as well as planets with great sharpness. It is a very light and compact device: the dew protection cover can be inserted to save space. With ultra-modern glass and precision manufacturing, telescopes have been created for maximum observing enjoyment. In addition, this telescope is not only highly recommended for travel, but also for quick observations and astrophotography. The high-quality 2.5'' HEXAFOC eyepiece focuser with 1:10 reduction completes the picture of this versatile device: thanks to the large free diameter of 65 mm, there is no vignetting through the eyepiece focuser, even in astrophotography with large chips, as can happen in the case of smaller diameters.

The popular EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC Triplet ED APOs are offered in the following 3 product series:
