Refractor Telescope Skywatcher EVOSTAR 150ED Deluxe Black Diamond Dual Speed
The Refractor Telescope Skywatcher EVOSTAR 150/1200 ED Deluxe Black Diamond is an apochromatic telescope of 150mm diameter and 1200mm focal length. Its objective consists of an apochromatic doublet (2 lenses) with multi-coated and manufactured with low dispersion ED glass (it causes little dispersion in the incoming light gaining sharpness and contrast in the images).
The apochromatic objective has several optical treatments with a special treatment to maximize the transmission of light, which is called MHC (Metallic High-Transmission). This results in an image with high contrast and no light scattering.
The EVOSTAR 150ED Deluxe telescope is equipped with a non-retractable eyecup long enough to perform its function satisfactorily.
The Skywatcher EVOSTAR 150ED telescope will allow you to see details on the surface of the Moon, and accurately view Cassini's divisions in Saturn's rings. You will also be able to view the satellites of Jupiter and Saturn as well as the phases of Venus, the ocher bands of Jupiter or discover the most remarkable objects in the deep sky. In order to exploit the full potential of the telescope it will be necessary to complement the telescope with some eyepieces of different focal lengths: a short focal length eyepiece for higher magnification to observe the Moon and planets and a long focal length eyepiece to enlarge the field of view, capture more light and thus be able to see deep sky objects.
In astrophotography, the Skywatcher EVOSTAR 150ED Deluxe telescope will give us high quality images. It is therefore the ideal equipment for taking pictures of numerous nebulae, clusters and the brightest galaxies.
The aluminum optical tube is equipped with a Crayford rack and pinion focuser with microfocuser for precise focusing with a speed reduction of 1/10 of a turn. This reduction in focuser speed allows for much greater focusing accuracy. Its 86mm (3.4") diameter makes it a robust, rugged and accurate focuser. It is also equipped with a guide rail that gives it a high load capacity to easily support the weight of the CCD or DSLR. It also has a locking screw so that once we get the focus point, the weight of the camera does not cause a slip that causes the loss of that focus point.
The eyepiece holder is prepared to accommodate 2" eyepieces for bright wide field views. It also includes the 2" to 1.25" reducer so that you can take advantage of the 1.25" eyepieces that you already have...
The EVOSTAR 150ED telescope is held in place by two sturdy rings that are attached to a dovetail type Losmandy. It should be noted that a telescope of the weight and dimensions of the EVOSTAR 150ED cannot be mounted on a mount that is only prepared to accept dovetails of the type Vixen. Here, with the tests that we have done in Telescopiomania, it is clear that the grip must be firm and secure and therefore it is imported with dovetail type Losmandy... The mounts that can carry this tube must be robust and it is recommended to use at least the mount Skywatcher AZ-EQ6. One of the rings has a Kodak screw at the top so that a DSLR camera can be piggybacked for telephoto photography.
For safe transport, the Skywatcher EVOSTAR 150ED telescope is supplied well protected in an aluminum case that effectively protects it from shocks.
