This William Optics RedCat 51 Travel Apochromat apochromatic refractor for astrophotography and nature photography is intended for all astrophotographers and nature photographers who are looking for a transportable and compact telephoto lens of the highest quality.

Due to the 4-element Petzval design, a fully corrected image field of 44 mm diameter is achieved without chromatic aberration. Therefore, even the use of full frame cameras is possible.

Astrophotography: with a focal length of 250 mm and a fast focal ratio of f / 4.9, short exposure times are possible .The maximum working distance of 59.70 mm allows the use of all popular astronomical and digital SLR cameras. Thanks to the2"filter thread that is integrated in the helical focuser, it is also possible to use specific filters for deep sky, broadband .....

In addition, a Bahtinov mask is included as standard. The mask is a great help when focusing and is integrated into the lens cap.
