Chromatic aberrations have been virtually extinguished and color correction is much better than that offered by standard ED doublet refractors. Undoubtedly, the TS PHOTOLINE telescopes guarantee high performance ideal for astrophotographers, with the ability to fully illuminate large CCD sensors and with temperature compensated lens sustaining cells.
The lens is air spaced and not cemented. This avoids problems arising from thermal variations that often occur with triplet objectives that are cemented (physically bonded together, in contact). The TS PHOTOLINE 80/480mmtelescope when used with a field flattener can give better photographic results than a similar 110mm diameter telescope.The TS PHOTOLINE 80/480mm telescope can be recommended without reservation for working with CCD's up to 45mm diagonal.
