Optics
With an aperture of 120 mm and a focal length of 840 mm, the Askar 120APO has a focal ratio of f/7. The optics are configured in an air-spaced, triplet apochromatic design with an extra-low dispersion (ED) glass lens to limit chromatic aberration.
Quality from start to finish
The Askar 120APO includes everything we love about refractor design. The dual-speed, 10:1 ratio focuser allows precise focus control when using the scope visually or with an optional Bahtinov mask (sold separately).
The included handle on the CNC rings is designed to fit guide scopes, aiming scopes and other accessories that use a synta style aiming shoe. Askar has included two additional synta mounts on top of the focuser providing ample space to add all mountable accessories for a successful imaging rig.
The 290mm Vixen style dovetail is double mounted on CNC rings ensuring a stable connection to its equatorial mount and the adjustable dew shield prevents wasted hours under clear skies by protecting the ED optics from moisture.
