The FF80 includes two Extra Low Dispersion glass elements for superb chromatic aberration correction.
The FF80 is compatible with full-frame cameras such as the ASI6200, with an RMS center radius of only 3 microns.
Unlike standard ED refractors, the FF80 features a Petzval design that does not require the sensor to be set at a specific distance from the last lens. This leaves the freedom to use any filter wheel, any off-axis guide or accessory without worrying about calculating the correct distance from the flattener.
With a large 44mm image circle and a focal ratio of f/7.5, this is the perfect astrophotographer for the advanced astrophotographer.
The large 3" rack and pinion focuser is natively compatible with the ZWO EAF without the need for additional adapters, and can be rotated 360° to perfectly frame the subject and has a 10:1 reduction gear for precise focusing.
All lenses are fully multi-coated and the tube is internally flocked to reduce reflections and absorb stray light.
The tube is CNC machined aluminum, the rack and pinion focusing mechanism is brass and the mechanical components are designed to provide the best rigidity, performance and durability.
