ASKAR 65PHQ APO Viewfinder
The 65PHQ is a newly released corrected astrograph that follows the 80PHQ, 107PHQ and 130PHQ. Instead of buying an additional corrector, adjusting the backfocus and doing tedious hookup to get nice thin stars in the corners of the image, astrophotographers can simply equip it with all possible imaging accessories, focus it, and then the entire optical system will be picture perfect.
Small and Light
The 65PHQ has a smaller size than other PHQ astrographs. It has an F/D ratio of f/6.4 and a focal length of 416 mm. Instead of the quadruple structure of other PHQs, the 65PHQ is a quintuple with two ED lenses that offers excellent control of chromatic and other aberrations.
With its self-planing design, the 65PHQ offers great advantages in astronomical photography.
It supports a full-frame image circle and has a fine dot pattern with small distortions of the peripheral stars.
Equipped
The 65PHQ comes with a telescopic sunshield, a high quality CNC machined and painted tube.
It weighs only 2 kg, the complete set with tubular rings etc. weighs 2.8 kg. The rigid 2.5" eyepiece holder incorporates a new type of 360° rotator.
M68, M54 and M48 camera adapters are also supplied, and the M48 adapter has a 2" female thread for filter installation.
It is also an excellent choice for visual observation. It can even be used for observing planets with a high magnification eyepiece.
The 65PHQ has a multi-functional handle, a 300mm dovetail plate and sturdy double tube rings. It is small and lightweight, which is perfect for your viewing and shooting needs.
