Askar FMA230 Astrograph and Triplet Apo
ASKAR FMA telephoto lenses are not simple photographic lenses, they are apochromatic lenses optimized for astrophotography. The triple APO lens allows magnifications up to approximately 150x without loss of sharpness. To our knowledge, no telephoto lens in this class can do that. The stars in the image are totally sharp.
The 4-element corrector specially developed for the 50mm triple lens flattens the image field to full frame and improves the focal ratio to a fast f/4.6 with total sharpness. Internal blackening and elaborate multi-coating ensure bright, high-contrast images without reflections, even in difficult lighting conditions.
The FMA 230 mm f/4.5 as a telephoto lens
The manual APO telephoto lens is corrected to full frame. From the M48 thread you have 55 mm working distance. Ideal for system cameras, DSLRs and, of course, astronomical cameras. The high speed of f/4.6 allows short exposure times even in difficult lighting conditions.
The FMA 230 f/4.6 as an astrophotographer
Astrophotographers will be delighted with this compact telephoto lens. Stars all the way to the edge appear sharp and crisp. With a working distance of 55 mm (M48 mount), you can attach all common cameras. The multifunctional mount allows easy adaptation to your stand, photographic tripod or compact photographic Star Trackers, such as Skywatcher Star-Adventurer or to an attachable camera mount via the 1/4" female thread.
The FMA 230 as APO refractor and guide telescope
The objective can be combined with 1.25" as well as 2" accessories and allows wide field observations. Enjoy the landscape or view vast star fields. Use the sharpness performance of the APO lens to view lunar craters, the play of Jupiter's moons or Saturn's rings.
The FMA230 is also a powerful autoguider lens. With the corresponding autoguider, you can guide telescopes up to 10" aperture without any problems.
The FMA 230 as spotting scope or spotting scope
The high-contrast optics enable exciting wildlife and landscape observations. In just a few steps, you have converted the telephoto lens into a compact and sharp spotting scope. You can use all common photographic tripods, the adapter is already included. Use 1.25" or 2" eyepieces with low magnification for bright images, even in extreme lighting conditions, and eyepieces with high magnification for fine details.
