The 107PHQ is a transportable APO refractor for astrophotography with field corrected and flat image even for full frame sensors and for observation up to the highest magnification range.

Astrograph Askar 107mm f / 7 Petzval
The 107PHQ is the successor to the legendary TS 107 / 700mm APO. The manufacturer has further developed the apo and turned it into a powerful astrograph. The color-corrected triplet lens with an aperture of 107mm remains. Thanks to the built-in corrector, the field is very well corrected. You will get perfect star images in the field right from the start, without the tedious search for correctors and the right distance.
The apo provides perfect star reproduction on the optical axis and in the field and is also very good for visual observation. Magnifications up to 300x are possible, with good contrast.

A telescope for almost every application, that is exactly what the 107PHQ is built for.
♦ With a focal length of 740 mm and the large corrected field of view, images of extended objects can be obtained. But equally, fine details of objects can be brought out when using cameras with high resolution.
♦ Using different cameras with different flange focal lengths is not a problem. Simply focus and you are always at the correct distance. The adapter battle is eliminated.
♦ The focuser has a wide adjustment range, so you can find the focus smoothly.
♦ The working distance or backward focus from the 2" barrel is long enough to use 2" zenith mirrors. This makes the Flatfield Apo a great field telescope or even a planetary telescope, depending on the eyepiece used.
The 3.4" rack and pinion photographic focuser:
The CNC focuser is optimized for photography and can withstand a load of up to 8 kg. The adjustment range is very generous at 110 mm. Focusing is done by gear drive. The gear drive is decoupled from the extension tube bearing. This ensures fine and precise adjustment even at maximum load. In addition to the 1.25" and 2" barrel, the focuser also offers threads for screw adaptations.

Each and every AS107PHQ quadruple APO is inspected in our engineering department before stocking to ensure consistent high product quality.
♦ The mechanics are tested, the focuser is optimally adjusted.
♦ The objective is checked and cosmetically cleaned. In addition, all counter screws are checked for proper tightness. These often loosen during transport.
♦ The optics are collimated and the result is checked on the optical bench.
♦ Only then are the telescopes transferred to the warehouse and prepared for shipment.
