Large dovetail support Vixen+Losmandy PLUS

The large dovetail clamps provide the connection to the telescope support plates and are useful for creating support instruments such as side-by-side plates (to hold two telescopes in parallel on the same mount) or to allow precise positioning of the guide rings (to precisely adjust the weight balance), or to give the possibility to mount the dovetails of Losmandy to the HEQ5 and AZ-EQ5 mount from Skywatcher

Our dovetail clamps, unlike the common ones, offer simultaneously the attack for Vixen and Losmandy plates. This way, you can install the plates of your choice and will not need to change them if they replace your telescope's backing plates.

The Large Dovetail Clamp Vixen+Losmandy PLUS is part of our PLUS system (Prima Luce Universal System) which includes a wide variety of support rings, plates, guide rings and dovetail clamps to give you the maximum freedom to build your mechanical support system, depending on the application you want to achieve. In fact, all PLUS elements have threaded holes, holes and slots suitable for connecting elements, always with maximum rigidity and convenience. The large dovetail clamp Vixen+Losmandy PLUS is designed to support heavy loads.

For this application, we designed many elements, including the dovetail clamp Vixen+Losmandy PLUS. Each component of the PLUS system is made from high-precision CNC-machined aluminum blocks. The aluminum is then sandblasted to achieve a very smooth surface finish and anodized (hard anodized) to increase the material's hardness and protect it from oxidation.

Thanks to the particular design, the Dovetail Clamp Vixen+Losmandy PLUS can be:

1. Installed (2 dovetail clamps) on any of our PLUS plates to achieve a side-by-side plate (which allows you to install two telescopes in parallel on the same mount). Thanks to the presence of all necessary threaded holes, you can create side-by-side plates with connecting plate Vixen or Losmandy for different mounts.
2. installed on a plate Vixen or Losmandy placed on the telescope support ring: if you install a plate Vixen or Losmandy PLUS on the support rings of your telescope, you can move through these dovetail clamps (with the guide rings screwed on) in the perfect position to properly balance the weight of the telescope guide.
3. Installed on Egle to connect to Vixen and Losmandy style dovetails.
4. With the right flange it allows to connect also the dovetail telescope Losmandy on the Skywatcher HEQ5 and AZ-EQ5 mount

If you have mechanical accessories of other brands, you can still use all the elements of the PLUS system. In fact, we have provided a series of central slots that allow, for example, to attach these dovetail clamps to plates or rings via a screw.
