Dome observatories are a cost-effective alternative for those who do not want or cannot have a dome for whatever reason. This type of observatory has all the advantages of a shell-shaped dome: a vast, almost unrestricted night sky and simple operation.

An observatory with a sliding roof is the ideal observatory for your own garden or for the observatories of astronomical clubs. Shaped like a small hut, it blends discreetly and aesthetically into the landscape and, when the roof is unfolded, offers the best view of the sky imaginable.

IMPORTANT PRODUCT PREPARATION:

• Delivery will be made with a shrink-wrapped pallet with dimensions of 360 x 120 x 210 cm and weighing 800kg
• The cost of pallet preparation is included in the price of the product.

All GreenLine large size dolly observatories have movable rear walls that are synchronized with the roof to provide an optimal field of view on the southern (or northern!) horizon. A lockable sliding door is standard. Special doors on request. Our optional roof drive and control systems make it an excellent and versatile remote control. Control systems can come with USB or Ethernet ports for PC control and remote operation.

We recommend our optional wood treatment to prepare the observatory against weather, fungus and insects.

AN ADDITIONAL PLUS: all GreenLine Roll-Off observatories come fully prepared for our SEMI and FULL electric roof drives: toothed gears, pulleys, steel cables and adjustable counterweights are all in the package!
