Skywatcher Black Diamond Dobson HERITAGE 130

Skywatcher designed this telescope to commemorate the International Year of Astronomy (IYA). This is not just a simple mini-telescope that could simply display a handful of astronomical objects, but actually a powerful Dobson telescope that can offer great nights of observing and comes in an easily transportable format. With its 130mm parabolic primary mirror, thousands of objects can be viewed.

With its clever patented truss-type extendable tube design (uncoated arms only) it is an extremely portable telescope. Fully retracted, the SkyWatcher Heritage 130 telescope measures a length of only 37cm!!!! And it only takes a few minutes to set up, and the entire operation can be done without special tools...

What objects can be observed with the Heritage 130P?

With its 130mm aperture parabolic mirror, the HERITAGE 130P SKYWATCHER telescope has excellent image quality to show spectacular images of the Moon and Planets:

-- The phases of Mercury and Venus.
-- Lunar surface details.
-- Polar ice caps on Mars.
-- The cloud bands and Great Red Spot on Jupiter.
-- Saturn's rings, including Cassini's divisions.

Beyond our Solar System, thousands of star clusters, nebulae, planetary nebulae, and galaxies can also be observed with SkyWatcher's Heritage 130P. In fact, you can observe far more than you can ever see with a typical 114mm Newton reflecting telescope...

Easy to Use

The SkyWatcher Heritage 130 is a Dobson-type telescope and is therefore very easy to operate...

-- Simply place the telescope on a rigid flat base, for example, on a table.
-- Extend the tube to its full extension position.
-- Attach the eyepiece .... -- and enjoy observing!!!!

You can point the telescope to any point in the sky by making simple up-down and left-right movements. With a little practice it is easy to follow the movement of objects even at maximum magnifications.
