The exciting new series of DOBSON GOTO telescopes from SKYWATCHER represents an evolution in precision and engineering in this type of astronomical telescopes. With the Dobson GOTO you will easily enjoy the wonders of the Universe such as nebulae, star clusters, galaxies and much more. With its patented retractable Dobson tube system, SKYWATCHER has truly brought to market the ultimate in portability and optical performance.

These elegant truss tubes were carefully designed to combine ease of use, extreme portability and consistent performance in a package that can be purchased for a very reasonable price.
Unlike other truss tubes, SKYWATCHER's retractable Dobson tubes do not need to be disassembled for storage or transport. They consist of two compact pieces, one of which is mobile and can be retracted to shorten the length of the tube to make it more compact and portable (the tube can be carried on one side and the Dobson base on the other). Both the action of folding and extending the tube takes only a few seconds.

Once the two pieces are assembled for observing it is very easy to collimate the telescope and this collimation will be valid for the whole night!

SKYWATCHER DOBSON telescopes with their patented tension adjustment clutch allow the user to increase or decrease the tension to increase or decrease the friction of the tube with the side of the DOBSON mount. With this tension adjustment, the optical tube does not need to be well balanced to stay fixed in a certain position.

The control knob with the SynScanTM AZ system allows the telescope to be pointed at a certain object, or can even guide you along a night tour at the touch of a button.

The convenient menu system of the SynScanTM AZ allows automatic search of more than 42,900 objects. Even a novice amateur can observe a wide range of objects in just a few observing sessions because the location of astronomical objects is so easy. SKYWATCHER's patented dual encoder design allows the telescope to be moved manually whenever the user wishes, and best of all, it does not need to be realigned!

NEW: INTEGRATED WIFI MODULE.

The new dobson goto telescopes come standard with the Wifi adapter. It is a very handy tool to control your SkyWatcher GOTO mount wirelessly using your smartphone or tablet. You just need to download the SynScan app from Google Play or Apple Appstore for free. Once the connection is activated, you will be able to control your mount from the SynScan app with the same functionalities you have on your remote.

Very intuitive and easy to use, it will allow you to find an object faster in the database (more than 10 000 entries) making observation more comfortable.

You can also use the "Point and go" function, point your smartphone to a region of the sky ...and thanks to the SynScan application the mount will move directly pointing to the indicated place.
