Shelyak handheld spectroscope

This handheld visual spectroscope is a small tube of only 115mm length with a very precise diffraction slit placed at the entrance and provides a very good resolution for a handheld spectroscope. It is very easy to use for any light source: the sky (solar spectrum with Fraunhofer absorption lines), flame testing in chemical analysis, spectral absorption through liquids, emission lines generated by a discharge tube or any table or street lamp. It is also a product suitable for gemology and mineralogy. You can study how the spectrum of a known light source alters as it passes through a mineral or gemstone.

This handheld spectroscope is ideal for use in class with students, during public science exhibitions or simply to observe the spectral range of the different street lamps you may find on your street.

Technical specifications:

Large diameter aperture eyepiece that facilitates comfortable observation of the spectral range that will be centered in the field of view.
High quality optical components to ensure that the absorption bands are clearly displayed, even the weak bands that are sometimes difficult to detect.
The linear spectrum is generated thanks to the particularly bright transmission originating from the 600 line/mm diffraction slit.
The spectroscope is built into a fixed unit (no need for adjustment).
Robust assembly to withstand years of student use.
Compact size: 115mm x 25mm.
Supplied in a rigid protective case.
