Video adapter Kowa TSN-VA2

The Kowa TSN-VA2 adapter allows you to use the Kowa 60mm, 61mm, 66mm, 77mm and 82mm spotting scopes for digiscoping purposes without using your existing eyepiece. This is very useful for two purposes: it reduces the effective magnification on the scope side of the scope equation and allows significantly more eyepiece relief to avoid vignetting of images with the digiscoping combination.

All adventures in digiscoping require, first and foremost, the use of a sturdy tripod. Great care must be taken to keep vibrations during exposure to an absolute minimum. The use of a cable release, electronic shutter release or remote control to operate the shutter is absolutely necessary. And while not necessary per se, the TSN-DA3 mounting bracket will do wonders to reduce vibrations to your equipment.

Optical magnification varies with the range in use from 12-13x
Multiply the optical magnification by the focal length of your digital camera to get the effective focal length in 35mm format
