Crayford Focuser TS-Optics2" double speed focuser for Newtonian telescopes
With the optional base, the extension can be adapted to Newtonian telescopes.
Adaptation to the base by means of a dovetail ring, which tapers conically, so that the focuser cannot tilt.
Total height of 65 mm from the bottom (dovetail ring) of the focuser to the 2" receptacle.
Eyepiece side connection: 2" and 1.25" receptacle with compression ring.
Focuser travel 35 mm
Large, stable ball bearings prevent tilting of the drawtube even under high loads
1:10 micro reduction (double speed) allows precise focusing, e.g. for astrophotography
The Newtonian focuser is very suitable for observation and astrophotography with DSLR or astro cameras. We recommend the focuser for accessories up to approx. 2 kg. The focuser is also often purchased for self-construction of Newtonian telescopes or for upgrading existing telescopes.
The 1:10 double-speed micro-reduction significantly improves focusing. Especially in astrophotography, sharper images are possible because the focus is precisely achieved. But observation is also easier, because you know exactly when the optimum sharpness has been reached.
Attaching the focuser to the tube
The focuser has a tapered dovetail ring with a diameter of approximately 78 mm at the bottom. The focuser is directly attached to the different bases. Thus you can easily adapt the focuser to your tube.
