Mounting kit TS-Optics for mounting ZWO EAF on 2" Crayford focusers TS
The kit allows to adapt the focus of the ZWO EAF motor to the Crayford 2" focusers of TS-Optics and GSO. EAF motor focusing eliminates the need for double speed because the adjustment is very fine. Moreover, you can use the appropriate programs for computer-optimized focusing and, for example, compensate for temperature as well.
The connection to the focuser:
As focusers do not have a flat surface to hold the motor focuser, the motor focuser is attached to the focuser housing with a transition ring. This is very simple:
♦ Remove one of the two adjuster knobs from the focuser and put the coupling in place.
♦ Remove the focuser base and place the aluminum ring over the housing.
♦ Insert the shaft of the ZWO-EAF into the coupling and attach the ZWO-EAF to the ring extension arm. By carefully turning and moving the ring, the focuser shaft and motor shaft are centered.
♦ Next, first fix the set screws in the coupling and then fix the EAF on the focuser by lightly tightening the two plastic screws on the ring.
♦ Done - you are ready to start motorized focusing.

♦ TS 6" and 8" RC Ritchey-Chrétien
♦ TS 6" and 8" Cassegrain telescopes
♦ TS Photon Newtonian telescopes with 2" Crayford or Monorail focusers.
♦ TS dobsonian telescopes -Optics and GSO starting at 8" aperture
