CELESTRON OPTICAL TUBESCHMIDT-CASSEGRAIN 9.25".
Theoptical tubes CelestronSchmidt-Cassegrain 9.25" EDGE HD tubes are manufactured to the same standards applied to the top of the range tubes.
Each optical surface of theOptical tubes CelestronIs coated with the highly efficient multi-layer treatmentStarBright XLT® StarBright XLT. All tubes are equipped with the same dovetail adapter platform used in the seriesAdvanced GTYCGEMSo that it is easy to attach them to a variety of mounts.
Observes the universe in atelescope CelestronCGEM II EdgeHD. It is a fantastic Schmidt Aplanatic designed to provide aberration-free images over a wide field of view and photographic field of view. The optical system was designed to reduce not only the off-axis coma effect, but also to provide a totally uniform photographic focal plane over the entire field of view.
True astrographic quality. Many self-described "astrographic" quality optical designs actually produce point stars along a curved focal plane. While this may be acceptable in visual observations, stars will appear out of focus at the edges when using flat CCD sensors of digital cameras. The EdgeHD optics of thetelescope CelestronProduce a focal plane three times more uniform than that offered by classic Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes and radically flatter than other coma-free designs. This ensures that the user will obtain perfectly sharp images across the entire field of the largest CCD sensors currently available.
Even when the object is perfectly defined in the center of the field of view, a curved focal plane will produce out-of-focus images at the edges. The wider the field of view the more pronounced the defects.
Design featuresEdgeHDNot only provide timely and pleasing images, but also improve resolution and magnitude limit relative to other telescopes of similar apertures. The high-definition optics of Celestron allow small angular sizes to be resolved over the entire field, revealing fine details and high contrasts.
The EdgeHD optics of thetelescope CelestronProvide smaller (more concentrated) stars that create brighter images and allow fainter magnitudes to be achieved relative to other telescopes of similar size. Poor image quality at the edges can widely scatter the starlight to match its luminosity with that of the sky background, making the stars undetectable to the eye or a camera. With opticsEdgeHDThe user will be able to capture the faintest galaxies in the entire sensor field of his camera.
Each optical surface of the telescopes Celestron is coated with XLT treatment. The models of theEdgeHDOffer maximum light transmission over the entire field of view and photographic spectrum.
In addition to the new, optimized optical design, the tubes of theEdgeHDHave been redesigned to offer the best possible performance for each observation thanks to the following features:
- Mirror support- Flexible tension clutches hold the mirror in position and reduce image wobble as the tube rotates around the mount. The flexible rods hold the mirror in position without exerting any pressure or force on the mount, keeping the image centered in the eyepiece (or chip).
- Tube vents- Two vents at the rear of the tube allow hot air to be expelled from the primary mirror. Each vent has an integrated 60-micron micro-mesh filter that allows the air to be expelled without letting dust particles fall inside.
- Fastar Versatility- The seriesEdgeHDIncludes the most versatile telescopes available today. With the classic f/10 the user can obtain the image scale needed to capture the smallest deep sky objects. With an optional dedicated reducer it is possible to increase the field of view without sacrificing optical performance. A barlow lens provides the added magnification needed for high resolution planetary, lunar and solar imaging. In addition, all optical tubesEdgeHDAre compatible with the Fastar system for ultra-fast wide-field imaging - f/2. Each tube is supplied with a removable secondary mirror and is opto-mechanically aligned on a laser optical bench to ensure that they are axially symmetrical in any configuration.
- Simple collimation- With their high-precision mechanical parts and the spherical secondary mirror, the opticsEdgeHDCan be easily and accurately collimated so that the user can take advantage of the tremendous potential that these instruments possess.
- The new Schmidt flattened optical designProduces aberration-free images over the entire field of view. The tube incorporates tension knobs that hold the primary mirror in position avoiding image shift effect.
The telescope Celestron CGEM II 925 EDGE HD features StarBright XLT coated optics of Celestron and the newly redesigned CGEM II computerized mount. This is the most compact of the SC models from Celestron EDGE HD equipped with CGEM II. This telescope is specially designed for fantastic planetary observations and also performs extraordinarily well in the deep sky. With its 9.25-inch aperture and premium StarBright XLT treatments, the CGEM II 925 EDGE HD gives you more than 1000 times the light gathering power of the unaided eye.

NEW CELESTRON CGEM II MOUNT:
This great piece of equipment is a new update to the legendary CGEM mount. The CGEM II has a contemporary, attractive and bold look and is capable of supporting the high-end SCT optical tubes of Celestron (up to 11") safely and vibration-free, which is ideal for both astrophotography and visual observation. It is capable of supporting 18 kg payload and rotates at 5° per second, allowing you to easily and instantly target any of the celestial objects available in its database.
ITS MAIN NOVELTIES ARE:
ERGONOMIC DESIGN:
The CGEM II has been designed to be very ergonomic, with large Altitude and Azimuth adjustment knobs for quick and easy adjustment of polar alignment. Internal RA and DEC motor wiring provides a clean appearance and easy, trouble-free setup.
INNOVATION:
The CGEM II series incorporates the innovative All-Star polar alignment process of Celestron. All-Star allows you to precisely polar align the mount using any star, even if you cannot see the celestial pole. Another great feature of the CGEM II that we offer at Telescopiomania and that will surely delight all astrophotographers is the permanent periodic error correction (PEC).
OPERATION:
For objects near the meridian (imaginary line passing from north to south), the CGEM II will seamlessly track beyond the meridian for uninterrupted imaging. The CGEM II mount has a robust database with over 40,000 objects, 100 user-defined programmable objects, and enhanced and updated information on over 200 objects.
The CGEM II mount of Celestron is the intermediate step between the Advanced VX Series and the CGX Series, offering the portability of the AVX and the accuracy of the CGE.
