Pack Telescope Celestron Advanced VX 9.25″ Edge HD 12033 with personalized astrophotography course
IN TELESCOPIOMANIA WE OFFER YOU NOW TOGETHER WITH YOUR TELESCOPE, OUR PERSONALIZED COURSE OF ASTRONOMY AND ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY INITIATION.
The EdgeHD Advanced VX (AVX) 9.25" telescope is a specialized instrument designed for astrograph-quality imaging, setting the standard in this category of telescopes. With its EdgeHD optical tube and rugged Advanced VX equatorial mount and tripod, this kit provides unparalleled views of planets, lunar surface detail (craters and seas) and stunning deep sky images.
The Edge HD 925 is suitable for both visual and photographic use, and has been designed to be modular, being able to perform optimally over a range of focal lengths between 470 and 10000 mm (with optional accessories, also produced by third parties) . The XLT optical treatment enhances the brightness of the optics, and also offers very high contrast on both planets and deep sky objects. The Edge HDs are also Fastar / Hyperstar ready and are equipped with a primary mirror locking system and micro-filtered side apertures to speed up the process of achieving thermal balance of the optics.
EdgeHD optical design
EdgeHD is a flattened Schmidt optical system that produces flat-field, aberration-free images corrected to the diffraction limit over a wide field of view and photographic field of view even with 2-inch wide-angle eyepieces and full-frame sensor DSLRs. The optical system corrects beyond the off-axis stellar coma: it provides an astrograph-quality flat focal plane all the way to the edge of the field of view generating perfectly focused star images all the way to the edge of the sensor.
EdgeHD optics produce a focal plane more than three times flatter than a standard Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope and dramatically flatter than other brands' coma-free designs. This guarantees you visibly sharp stars on the largest imaging sensors available today.
EdgeHD mechanical features
In addition to EdgeHD's optimized optical design, the optical tube has been improved to ensure you get the most out of your optics on every observing night.
Mirror clutches: flexible tension clutches hold the mirror in place and reduce image shift when taking long exposure astrophotos. Once focused, the flexible rods allow the mirror to be held in place without exerting any force or pressure on the mirror assembly, keeping the image centered in the eyepiece (or on the sensor).
Tube vents: cooling vents located in the rear cell allow hot air to be released from behind the primary mirror. Each vent has an integrated 95 micron micromesh filter guaranteed to let hot air out without letting dust in.
In addition, all EdgeHD optical tubes are Fastar compatible, allowing the secondary mirror to be removed and replaced with a third-party lens assembly for ultra-fast f/2 widefield imaging.
Advanced VX mount and tripod
The Advanced VX mount is designed to provide superior performance for these telescopes, taking advantage of the most advanced technologies from Celestron: All-Star Polar Alignment, Celestron PWI telescope control software, SkyAlign and Programmable Periodic Error Correction (PPEC).
If you're an experienced astrophotographer, you'll love taking this portable mount to dark sky locations and enjoying all the features and conveniences that come with great observatory mounts. Or, if you're a new astrophotographer, Advanced VX will help you get started in the hobby and keep up with your needs for years to come.
The Advanced VX mount allows you to use the convenient Polar All-Star alignment (which allows you to get the alignment without seeing the North Star). You can control long exposures and program permanent periodic error correction. You can also take long exposure shots involving meridian pitch without reversing the mount position. The improved motors offer more torque and can handle slight imbalances with ease. In addition, the AVX is equipped with an internal clock (RTC module) with a battery backup and can therefore be turned off without losing alignment data.
The Advanced VX includes ports for manual control, an autoguider and 2 AUX ports for optional accessories. The NexStar+ hand control gives you instant access to all functions offered by the mount. With automatic rotation and menu descriptions, astronomers of all skill levels can master this mount in just a few observing sessions. The Advanced VX also has an impressive tripod for its class, with 2" diameter steel legs, providing extra-wide support for improved stability.
Payload Capacity: The payload capacity for Advanced VX is 13.6 kg with the same rigidity as other larger mounts and minimal flex. It provides a sturdy platform for the 9.25" EdgeHD optical tube, even when combined with optional accessories such as StarSense, AutoAlign, focus motor, finder and camera. The payload capacity of Celestron does not include the weight of the counterweights.
Dual support plate: as of early 2019, Advanced VX mounts include a dual support plate, which accommodates CG-5 and CGE style dovetails, making it extremely simple to switch between the two support plates. This means you can use your Advanced VX mount not only with the 9.25" EdgeHD, but with any optical tube within the Advanced VX weight limit. The mount is compatible with Vixen format dovetails of 100 mm or larger, but is not compatible with Losmandy format plates (regardless of the deck manufacturer).
Software
The Celestron PWI telescope driver is your ultimate astronomy software: all current Celestron computerized telescopes include Celestron PWI (CPWI), the most advanced astronomy software included with any quality telescope accessible to the general public. The experts at Celestron co-developed CPWI with the engineers at PlaneWave Instruments. The result is an all-in-one solution that gives you many of the same features used in the observatory telescopes manufactured by PlaneWave.
The graphical planetarium interface with advanced PointXP mount modeling allows you to add over 100 points to your alignment model for the most accurate pointing and tracking possible.
It is ideal for remote observatory setups: save, park your telescope, and reload your alignment at a later time.
Provides a full ASCOM telescope interface to allow telescope control from third-party software applications.
Starry Night Software: A free download of Starry Night Special Edition software from Celestron is also included. This advanced Simulation Curriculum software provides detailed information about celestial objects and helps you plan your next observing or astrophotography session. The Special Edition software also includes telescope control via your PC.
Accessories
The Advanced VX 9.25 "EdgeHD comes complete with a 23mm 2" Luminos eyepiece, a 2" diagonal with 1.25" adapter and a 9x50 finder. To increase its field of view without sacrificing performance, you can add the EdgeHD focal reducer (optional), reducing its focal ratio to f / 7. An optional Barlow lens can provide additional magnification for high-resolution planetary, lunar and solar imaging. And, of course, all EdgeHD optical tubes are Fastar compatible for ultra-fast f / 2 wide-field imaging
