Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope Package Celestron AVX 8S Edge HD 12031 with customized astrophotography course

IN TELESCOPIOMANIA WE OFFER YOU NOW TOGETHER WITH YOUR TELESCOPE, OUR PERSONALIZED COURSE OF ASTRONOMY AND ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY INITIATION.

CELESTRONADVANCED VX 8" EDGE HD Telescope: this is truly the most advanced astrophotography starter set on the astronomical market today. It combines the revolutionary ADVANCED VX (AVX) mount with the best optics developed by CELESTRON, the already famous Schmidt-Cassegrain EDGE HD telescopes. This equipment guarantees the astrophotographer maximum versatility, offering 3 different configurations in the same tube. The user can attach a camera to the rear of the tube and shoot at f/10, or attach the 8" focal reducer (soon to be available) and shoot at f/7. Optionally, the EDGE HD telescope is compatible with FASTAR systems, so you can use some of the HYPERSTAR systems offered by Telescopiomania.com and take "ultra-fast" pictures at f/2. No matter which configuration is selected, the EDGE HD technology will show point stars in the entire field of view captured by the CCD sensor of your camera.

With an 8" tube and the portable ADVANCED VX (AVX) mount, you can carry your equipment easily and without the help of another person to mount it. In addition, you will enjoy a remarkable load capacity that will allow you to attach your camera and other additional accessories. The ADVANCED VX 8" EDGE HD is simple enough for a beginner but can provide many years of pleasure for the most demanding astrophotographers.

About the CELESTRON ADVANCED VX mount

The new ADVANCED VX (AVX) mount has been specifically designed to provide optimum performance in astrophotography in combination with small telescopes. Now if you have a small or medium diameter telescope you can take advantage of the All-Star Polar Alignment and autoguiding functions. You will be able to guide for long exposures thanks to the use of the permanent periodic error correction. Shoot across the meridian without having to reverse the position of the right ascension axis, so you can take uninterrupted shots in the best area of the night sky. The ADVANCED VX (AVX) mount features a significantly larger tripod mount base than the previous model, improving stability when working with heavy weights. Improved motors provide greater torque transmission so that they do not suffer as much when pulling slightly out-of-balance weights. The new ADVANCED VX (AVX) mount is therefore ready to perform at the highest level even when not perfectly balanced.

Main characteristics:

  • Schmidt-Cassegrain EDGE HD 8" (203mm) at f/10 with STARBRIGHT XLT light transmission enhancement optical treatment.
  • EDGE HD optical system perfectly corrects field curvature and coma to provide a truly flat field.
  • Integrated louvered vents with 60-micron hole size louver filters to aid tube thermalization and remove hot air behind the primary mirror.
  • Compatible with FASTAR, the tube comes with a secondary mirror that can be removed to attach a HYPERSTAR for f/2 photography.
  • Optical finder 9x50 to locate alignment stars.
  • Gears with integer ratios and the programmable Permanent Periodic Error Correction function allow the elimination of systematic errors present in the gears and bisffin.
  • Self-guiding port for long exposure photography
  • New motors offer improved tracking and provide more power to manage overweight resulting from poor frame balancing.
  • Updated industrial design for greater rigidity, less flex and improved aesthetics.
  • The new design allows imaging or astrophotography beyond the meridian without interference from the motor housings.
  • Improved latitude range. Can be used between 7 and 77 degrees latitude.
  • Improved electronics with increased memory capacity for future content expansion.
  • NexStar+ control unit with multi-language programming (Spanish, English, French, Italian, German, French and Italian)
