The USB fan from Celestron is the ideal cooling solution for your Dobson StarSense Explorer 10" telescope. For those who can't wait for the Dobson to reach thermal equilibrium to observe, the fan cools the primary mirror to outside ambient temperature more quickly. The result is a sharper, better focused view and more time to observe.

This cooling fan mounts directly to the rear cell of the Dobson Celestron StarSense Explorer 10" telescope and works with any USB power supply (portable powertanks, wall power adapters, and more). Once the primary mirror has cooled and is ready to observe, you can disconnect the USB power supply from the fan. Attach the cable to the integrated storage clip to stay organized with no dangling cables.

Powering the cooling fan

Any USB power supply can power the cooling fan. Unlike other fans on the market, this Dobson telescope USB fan does not require a bulky external 12V power supply or disposable batteries. This fan uses less voltage (5V vs. 12V) than competing models. Even so, our rigorous in-house testing shows that the fan at Celestron provides better airflow and faster overall cooling compared to competitors.

Compatible Telescopes

The USB fan for Dobsonian telescopes is compatible with the Dobson StarSense Explorer 10" Dobson telescope and many other Dobson and Newton Reflectors of other brands that have a compatible fan mount (four M4 x 0.7 threaded holes in a square pattern with 71.5mm spaced holes).
