This SkyWatcher binoviewer kit allows you to use both eyes comfortably on any telescope equipped to accept standard 1.25" eyepieces. Its fully coated BAK4 prisms will give you clear, high-contrast views with a great sense of three-dimensionality thanks to steoroscopic viewing.
Binocular vision is much more comfortable than monocular vision and this is especially noticeable during prolonged observations. Normally, the eyes tire quickly and we no longer see as much detail as the telescope could show us. In addition, on brighter objects, such as the Moon and some planets, with a binocular head we will not only observe much more comfortably with our telescope, but we will also appreciate much more detail.
The most common use of binoviewers (binocular heads) for telescopes is planetary observation. The binocular head or binoviewer Skywatcher can be used on any telescope that accepts 1.25" (31.75 mm) eyepieces. However, the prism system consumes about 100 mm of the optical path, so many telescopes require the use of a focal multiplier lens to achieve a focused image.
