Portable astronomy
The new Avalon M-ZERO mount has been designed to revolutionize the world of portable astronomy. It is a unique and innovative design, light in weight and small in size. With great versatility and improved quality, the Avalon M-Zero mount is the perfect tool for nomadic astronomy.
Several mounts in one!
The Avalon M-ZERO mount is more than just a mount: it can be used as a mount german equatorial standard when used with long focal lengths, such as a Single arm with the great advantage of not having to make a flip-meridian using compact optics, such as a altazimuth mount for visual astronomy and, finally, as an excellent platform for TIME-LAPSE for panoramic photography and video filming.
Double telescope configuration
Thanks to the new DUAL-DEC system, it is possible to install a second telescope on the opposite side of the declination axis. Considering this capacity it is possible to use a wide range of optics, from a small refractor of 4-5Kg to a double set with a total weight of 12-13Kg, obtaining performances so good that it is not necessary to make the leap to a mount with a higher load capacity.
The STARGO control systemHas been designed to be wireless and can be controlled from a smartphone or tablet, through its Bluetooth or Wifi connection, depending on the model selected. The Avalon M-Zero mount can be quickly set up in its altazimuth format for visual observation with large telescopes and binoculars or to obtain panoramic images or video sequences for time-lapses.
Zero maintenance
The virtually zero maintenance, the long lasting materials used and the possibility to easily update the firmware of the StarGO system and its software allows the M-Zero mount to be always ready for use and up to date. Portability
The Avalon M-ZERO mount can be balanced, on most occasions, with a weight of less than 1kg, due to the possibility of placing the declination axis in different positions in relation to the straight ascension arm. The Avalon M-ZERO mount and the T-POD 90 tripod (recommended tripod that can be purchased separately or in a kit included with the mount) require little space and can be easily stored in a medium-sized carrying bag, which greatly facilitates field trips for traveling astronomers.
Lightweight but very strong
Made entirely of anodized aluminum, the Avalon M-ZERO mount is manufactured on 5-axis CNC machines. The mount weighs only 6Kg and if used in combination with the T-POD 90 tripod it reaches a total of 12Kg.
Technology and innovation
The high level of construction quality, the innovative Fast-Reverse system with zero backlash technology and the new STARGO control system allow the AVALON M-ZERO mount to achieve excellent performance in photographic use, with guidance for long exposures, even when using long focal length telescopes such as 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain and Ritchey-Chrétien telescopes.
POLAR ALIGNMENT can be realized by using the polar finder mounted on the AR shaft body which can be rotated as shown in the picture above to have a more comfortable adjustment position.
The standard kit for the polar alignment is supplied with the following components:
1.Polar search engine
2.Searcher bracket with fixing screws and female dovetail bracket with fixing screw.
3. Red LED illuminator and connection cable to STARGO.
Kit for low latitudes
The new kit can work up to 15° latitude and can be installed in only 5 minutes.
